About SEADEA
SEADEA is a marine science consultancy bridging research, education, and science communication for organizations working in aquaculture, fisheries, and ocean sustainability. We support research institutions, NGOs, international bodies, and producer organizations with evidence-based services, from study design and proposal writing to training programs and public communication campaigns.
We believe that good science only creates impact when it is accessible, well-communicated, and connected to real-world decisions. That is what we do at SEADEA, we make marine science work for the people and organizations that need it most.
About Christina
Christina Zantioti is an animal scientist and a PhDc in Applied Hydrobiology (Agricultural University of Athens), specializing in sustainable aquaculture, fish nutrition, and marine food systems. She is the founder and President of NOWA, the Network of Women in Aquaculture, a global coalition with members across 60+ countries and an active collaboration with FAO. NOWA received a FAO Technical Recognition Award in 2025.
Christina holds a FELASA certification for experimental design and animal-based research, is an ISO/IEC 17025:2017 certified laboratory analyst, and is a member of both the EFSA Stakeholder Community and the FAO World Food Forum Global Youth Constituency. She has coordinated EU-funded research projects across Greece, Croatia, Italy, and France, working with institutions including the Agricultural University of Athens and La Rochelle University.
Through SEADEA, she provides research support, proposal writing, science communication, and capacity building to organizations working at the intersection of marine science, aquaculture, and ocean sustainability.
